Attorney Sessions Just Revealed How Trump Humiliated Him, Maxine Waters Response Is Epic

Rep. Maxine Waters of California just tweeted out a magnificent burn to Attorney Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, who once said he thought the KKK “was OK until I found out they smoked pot.”

In saying that Sessions has been “dragged and humiliated,” she refers to the verbal abuse the Attorney General received at the hands of President Trump for not committing obstruction of justice on his behalf.

Sessions drew both public and private tongue-lashings from Trump for recusing himself from the Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation into collusion between Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia, as well as the possibility of obstruction of an justice charge resulting from Trump’s firing of FBI Chief James Comey.

Waters rightfully challenged Sessions to use his recent humiliation at the hands of the president as a “learning moment” to put himself in the shoes of the Americans he has terrified with his racist, Islamophobic, anti-DREAMer, and anti-civil rights initiatives as the head of the Department of “Justice.”

Known as “Auntie Maxine” to the millennials who love her, the congresswoman gained viral fame when she told Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, “I’m reclaiming my time,” as he tried to avoid answering her questions in a congressional hearing.

Waters’ tweet today is very on-brand for the outspoken California congresswoman, which has what has endeared her so much to a left-wing fed up with the Trump administration’s criminal behavior, bigoted policies, and hateful rhetoric.

In fact, her tweet inspired some pretty epic replies, like this one referencing Beyoncé’s “Lemonade:”

By unabashedly speaking truth to (abuse of) power, Rep. Waters is harnessing the outrage of the young left, who must organize, mobilize and act, in order to fight back in the 2018 mid-term elections.
