FNC’s Jon Scott to Muslims: Don’t Like the Terrorist Stereotype? Don’t be Terrorists…

I don’t watch Homeland, but (spoiler alert) apparently there’s a story line this year where a Muslim teen was “set up” to look like a terrorist by evil white men in government. Actor Mandy Patinkin event went on Meet the Press to say that it was done purposefully because white men are the real enemy and something something ISLAMOPHOBIA! Side note, New Study Finds People Who Read News More Likely to be ‘Islamophobic’. But I digress…

Fox & Friends’ Jon Scott? He took issue with it…

“They’re gonna run the Boston marathon [today], right? Do we remember who the bombers of the Boston marathon were? I mean, just an aside to the Muslim community, if you don’t want to be portrayed in a negative light, maybe don’t burn people alive and set off bombs and things like that.”

A white dude with a logical opinion on Islam?

Princess Bride

In predictable fashion, the left didn’t take too kindly to these comments. We’ve got buckets of outrage to sift through. Hold onto thy butts…

Quick side note: whiteness and Islam aren’t comparable. You know, because one is a skin color and the other is an ideology. Basic stuff. But LwC regulars already knew that (see Even Leftist, Atheist Richard Dawkins: Islam is NOT a Race…).

The left is squirming because Jon Scott has a point. The onus is on the Muslim community to take responsibility for its own actions (read Solve Terrorism? Muslims NEED a Civil War). I mean…

And this was all in the past month. In other words, people associate terrorism with the Muslim community because the Muslim community associates itself with terrorism. Don’t like it? Then stop doing that.

While we’re on the subject…
