HIGHER EDUCATION: Cambridge Declares Calling Women ‘Brilliant’ is Sexist…

Cambridge

Ever describe a lady using the word genius? Brilliance? Flair? You’re hurting women, how dare you. Apparently all of these words are now on the no-no list at Cambridge because they’re considered male attributes. “Flair” I understand…

ric flair

But the others words, not so much. Really, they should make pills for this. Then package those pills in pink boxes to piss of feminists even more.

Behold as the open-minded folk at Cambridge attempt to describe their reasoning…

Tutors at the prestigious university are being told to drop the attributes as assessment criteria on the grounds that they alienate women and make it harder for them to succeed.

The policy is part of an overhaul of arts teaching at Cambridge, which also encompasses removing paintings of eminent male academics and stripping men’s work out of reading lists.

The strategy was outlined by Dr Lucy Delap, who is carrying out the program in Cambridge’s faculty of history.

Dr Delap – who belongs to the university’s all-female Murray Edwards college – said that rewarding brilliance or flair “carries assumptions of gender inequality” and also discriminates against poor and ethnic minority students.

You’ve lost me here, Cambridge. Sounds like you’re saying women can’t be genius or brilliant or have flair. Or, at least, when people hear those words they just think of men. This ladykin begs to differ. But either way…

Simmer down, femcakes. Methinks you won’t have to worry about anyone calling you brilliant any time soon.

But really, notice how it’s always non-brilliant, non-genius harpies seriously lacking in flair who make a big stink out of non-issues. Actual intelligent, capable gals are too busy succeeding to make up things to complain about (see WAGE GAP? Female CEOs Make More Than Male CEOs. Waaaay More…).

An alleged gender studies professor may want to think this one through more…
