On January 20th, Inauguration Day, Michelle Obama knew her and her husbands’s legacy were going to be completely wiped out by the Trump administration.
Yet the former First Lady says says the only reason she looks ticked in the now-viral photo of her is because she was “sad” she’s leaving the White House, holding back tears.
Not because her unpopular lunch program was going to get obliterated.
Not because everyone expected Hillary Clinton to win.
Not because her husband was a trainwreck of a president the entire way through.
No — it was because she was just “sad.” Yeah, right.
“I didn’t want to have tears in my eyes because people would swear I was crying because of the new president,” she told the American Institute of Architects convention in Orlando
Moreover, she also continued to complain and moan that it was very difficult for her to leave the White House.
“Leaving is just as quick as coming,” she said. “I’ve lived in the White House for longer than I’ve lived in any house that we’ve had, other than my childhood home.”
“You go from seeing people every day and hearing about their lives and giving them hugs and joking with them, and then you never see them again,” Michelle continued. “They’re on to the next family.”
But honestly, she’s likely just sad she can’t go on tax-payer funded vacations anymore.
